#120

Dear Miss Mable was officially adopted today. She is the 120th adoption for the year. We had 127 adoptions last year, and 73 the year before, so I am happy we seem to be growing.

I had taken Mable to Animal Control when I found her to see if her owner would reclaim her (since we knew who her owner was and all). When she wasn't reclaimed after the five-day waiting period, ACR rescued her. That was a Tuesday. By the next Tuesday, she was on a home visit with a family who ADORES her. (I love that!) They got a two-week trial period to make sure Mable was the dog for them. And now it's official.

That is one of the quickest adoptions I have been a part of with ACR. Normally it takes 2-3 months to complete the whole adoption process with the trial period. I thought it would take even longer for Mable since she wasn't in the best shape when we got her. But once again, I was proven wrong, and I'm glad.

Congrats, Mable!
